Someone figured out why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court

Well, someone figured out why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court.... Pull up the Supreme Courts website, go to the docket and search for Obama. She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against him filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. He owes her big time. All of the requests were denied of course. They were never heard. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper, doesn't it? The American people mean nothing any longer. It's all about payback time for those that compromised themselves to elect someone that really has no...

Golden State Warriors sign Harvards Jeremy Lin (Second Asian-American to play in the NBA)
Posted by admin / Under Harvard Business School
Jeremy Lin continues to overcome obstacles. Lin didnt receive a single Division 1 scholarship offer after leading Palo Alto (Calif.) High to a state championship four years ago, so he leaned toward academics and went to Harvard. After capping four standout seasons for the Crimson with Ivy League MVP honors, Lin went undrafted in June. Despite those relatively major setbacks, Lin signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors yesterday. And Lin will have plenty of fans pulling for him in Oakland, which is less than 30 miles from Palo Alto. "I feel like Ive come full circle, Lin told...

Kagan promoted Shariah
Posted by admin / Under Harvard Business School
Having worked with Elena Kagan at the Clinton White House, Dick was inclined to see her as a political moderate, worthy of support as the best one could expect from the Obama White House. But no more. Thanks to the work of the Center for Security Policy Director Frank Gaffney and the writing of Andrew McCarthy of the National Review Institute, there has emerged a compelling reason to vote against Kagans confirmation as a Supreme Court justice: her support for Shariah law while she was dean of Harvard Law School. Islamists are seeking to spread Shariah law by inducing American...

Professor Bishop's Reviews ... Edited Post-Shooting (Fact she's a lib deleted)
Posted by admin / Under Harvard Business School
Amy Bishop, the professor that killed three of University of Alabama-Huntsville biology faculty members and wounded three others after being denied tenure, had very mixed reviews on her teaching abilities, according to the Web site ratemyprofessor.com. While no students doubted her knowledge of the subject matter, a significant number of them accused Bishop of being an incompetent educator, unable to relate the subject matter to her students in a way that they could understand. In addition, several made references to political comments Bishop made, including one who said "she is a socalist but she only talks about it after class."...

Did Whites Flee the 'Digital Ghetto' of MySpace?
Posted by admin / Under Harvard Business School
(Danah) Boyd's current work argues that MySpace took on many of the aspects of a "digital ghetto" in the minds of teens who used the site, leading to "white [and asian] flight" from the site, analogous to the white flight from the city to the suburbs that took place in the U.S. beginning in the 1960's. Boyd continues: Consider the parallels. In some senses, the first teens to move to the "suburbs" were those who bought into a Teen Dream of collegiate maturity, namely those who were expressly headed towards dorm-based universities and colleges. They were the elite who were...

Harvard Wimps Out on Testing (encourages professors not to give final exams)
Posted by admin / Under Harvard Business School
... Starting in September, courses in Harvards Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) will no longer routinely require final exams. For most of Harvards existence, any professor wishing to forgo the practice of final exams required formal approval by the entire faculty. At least since the 1940s, professors have been required to submit a form to opt out of giving a final exam. But in fall 2010, professors will need to file a specific request to opt in. The dean of undergraduate education, Jay M. Harris, is already predicting that Harvard will reduce the academic calendar by a day or...
